Here's where to find local recycling banks across London

Kensington and Chelsea

Kensington and Chelsea offer doorstep recycling.The following materials can be collected in one bag:                                                                              

• paper of any description,  newspapers, magazines, cardboard, junk mail, telephone directories and envelopes,

• glass bottles and jars,

• milk and juice cartons,

• plastic bottles

• rags and textiles

Recycling bags are prices £3 for 50. 

Residents with garden waste to dispose may also purchase special RBCK Garden Waste Bags. Green waste means leaves and garden cuttings. These bags are £3.00 for 10. or £6.75 for businesses.

Both types of bags can be purchased from:

• The Main Reception, Town Hall, Hornton Street, W8 Map
• The Market Office, 72 Tavistock Road, W11 Map
• Chelsea Library Old Town Hall, King’s Road, SW3 Map

Hounslow
In the year 2000-2001 Hounslow managed to recycle over 17% of this through the a doorstep collection scheme plus a number of recycling sites. This is thanks to the ongoing support of the residents of Hounslow borough but they do need to recycle more.
